Getting started
These are the steps the app takes you through, from an empty wallet to a collected payout.
What you need
- A Solana wallet such as Phantom.
- USDC on Solana for bets, and a little SOL for fees.
1. Open your purse
The first visit creates your purse, the sealed balance that every bet draws from. Your browser makes an x25519 key pair for it; the public half is stored on the purse (open_purse(enc_key)). Keep the app's key backup: it is what lets you read your own sealed balance.
2. Deposit
Deposit USDC into your purse. The deposit is a public transfer into the vault; the cluster then adds it to your sealed balance (deposit, then credit_callback). Round amounts reveal less than the exact size of the bet you plan.
3. Bet
Pick a market, a side and a stake. The app encrypts the side and the stake on your device and sends place_bet. A few seconds later the cluster answers: accepted, or refused because the stake was below the market's minimum or above your balance. Nothing moved if it was refused.
4. Watch the board
Your bet does not move the odds by itself. The board changes when your batch is published, together with at least 5 bettors' tickets.
5. After the deadline
Anyone can settle the market with the first Pyth print at or after the deadline. Positions are then claimed into purses, often by a crank, so you may find your payout already in your sealed balance.
6. Withdraw
Withdraw any amount to your wallet. The amount is public, so choose when and how much.
